10 years ago, Allan Hall made the decision to move from its modest offices in Dee Why, to a fabulous new home in the Lifestyle Working Building, located in Brookvale on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Boasting an eco-friendly work environment that incorporates modern, light filled offices and open air meeting spaces (plus a gym and a pool!) we were confident that this new space reflected what Allan Hall is about – an environment that encourages a stress-free, fun and happy workplace for all our staff and a great place to meet our clients. Plus who wouldn’t want to have the opportunity to go for a swim at lunch time, which is just one of the perks of working on the Northern Beaches!
To celebrate this anniversary, Allan Hall hosted our very own outdoor movie night at our offices on Friday 27th April. In honour of working in our own ‘Castle’ for the last 10 years we showcased the 1997 Australian classic film ‘The Castle’ and re-created a ‘cinema under the stars’ experience complete with fairy floss and popcorn machines, choc tops, lollie bags, pizzas, drinks, fairy lights,bean bags, and a huge cinema screen with our very own water views – well…. It was overlooking the building’s lap pool… – whoever said life in an accounting firm wasn’t fun?
The event also formed part of our 60 years/60 Acts of Kindness program, where everyone at Allan Hall is getting involved in initiatives that are important to our staff, clients and community. Our cinema night was themed ‘red,’ raising valuable funds for World Allergy Week’s ‘Wear a Spot of Red’ which aims to raise awareness of the impact of allergy in our community. This event was promoted by AIFA, the Allergy and Immunology Foundation of Australasia which is run by ASCIA (The Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy), a client of Allan Hall who are also located in the Lifestyle Building and with whom our own very own Michael Bowman is ambassador for due to his own severe allergies. What a year for Allan Hall – 60 Years of Service and 10 Years of working in such a fabulous working home! We want to thank all our clients, friends, family and wider Northern Beaches community who continue to support us and our continued development. We’ve had a highly productive 10 years’ here to date, with lots of new faces, great work, growth, awards, fun times and rich memories.
