Allan Hall celebrates its 60th year anniversary in 2017/18 with 60 Acts of Kindness

AllanHall 60years

Allan Hall is extremely proud to be celebrating 60 years of operation on the Northern Beaches this financial year.

To commemorate this outstanding milestone, our goal is to give back to our clients and the community who have supported our firm throughout our history with at least 60 Acts of Kindness throughout our 60th year.

We are encouraging all our staff to get involved in our 60 Acts of Kindness through volunteering, fundraising and/or participating in activities or events that will benefit worthwhile causes which have meaning to our staff, clients and community. These include activities such as group charity walks/fun runs, fundraising, blood donations, internal events supporting clients or charities and after-hours volunteering.

We kicked off our 60th Anniversary/60 Acts of Kindness celebration, with a staff morning tea in support of the Cancer Council’s Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea.

We are now calling for our clients and community to let us know how else we can help. Whilst we obviously cannot support everyone, we have a formal process for assessing all requests.

Ongoing Community involvement

At Allan Hall, we highly value our standing in the community. We recognise the importance of a strong local economy and a positive and cohesive local community where people strive to help each other. Giving back to our community is therefore an important part of who we are and how we operate on an ongoing basis.

Our approach

Our partners lead by example by supporting community organisations, events and causes wherever possible, with a view to making a positive and enduring difference to others in need.

As many of our partners and staff live on the Northern Beaches, we take pride in supporting many local charities and organisations and actively engaging in local events and projects. We also support many other causes in the wider community, seeking input from our staff and clients as to which organisations are important to them.

How we have helped

Our community involvement over our 60-year history has included providing support through sponsorships, donations, charitable fundraising, actively participating in charitable events, volunteering, giving our time on committees, boards or special projects, involvement in local sporting organisations, clubs or schools and engaging in community partnerships.

We also hold themed drinks or breakfasts on a monthly basis and our staff donate to a chosen charity for the privilege of being able to dress in casual clothes every Friday and attend the monthly event. The firm matches all contributions raised by staff.
