About Michael

Michael is an experienced Chartered Accountant who works closely with small and medium-sized business owners and international clients to help them manage their Australian tax obligations and plan ahead with confidence.

After graduating from UNSW, Michael began his accounting career with a firm in Chatswood before moving to a larger North Sydney practice, where he spent six years developing his tax and business advisory experience. He joined Allan Hall Business Advisors in 2021, attracted by the firm’s strong focus on its people and collaborative approach to client service.

Michael assists clients with tax compliance, tax planning and a broad range of business tax matters. He takes the time to listen and understand what each client is trying to achieve before explaining the available options and helping them determine the most appropriate way forward.

Drawing on the expertise available across Allan Hall’s different service teams, Michael ensures clients receive coordinated advice that considers their wider business needs.

He particularly enjoys the variety of his work and the opportunity to learn about businesses operating across different industries and international markets.

What you may not know about Michael

Michael previously spent much of his spare time playing soccer and basketball. These days, life with a young family keeps him busy, although he still enjoys cooking whenever he gets the opportunity. He also speaks Cantonese fluently.
