Allan Hall and Big Hill Beach Cottages placed third at 2021 Beecraft SurfAid Cup

Over $10k Raised by Our Team for SurfAid

Allan Hall and Big Hill Beach Cottages placed third at the 2021 Beecraft SurfAid Cup

It was not a great beach day but we still had a fantastic time competing for the 7th year in a row at the annual Beecraft SurfAid Cup, held at Manly Beach last Friday 26 November, raising vital funds for SurfAid’s Mother and Child Health Programmes.

This year, Allan Hall again joined forces with Big Hill Beach Cottages and our formidable combined line-up placed third in a hotly contested surfing final.

The team consisted of Greg Anderson and Jake Somerville surfing for Allan Hall, Rob Bain surfing for Big Hill Beach Cottages plus long-time associate of Allan Hall, Ben Hamilton.

Through our outstanding fundraising, we were able to pick well known professional surfer Matt Wilkinson who was volunteering his expertise in honour of the event and certainly added to our team’s success.

The day is certainly about surfing to raise awareness, and we are extremely proud of our fundraising efforts this year, for which our team raised $10,200 for SurfAid’s Mother & Child Health Programmes thanks to our clients and friends.

Overall fundraising efforts from all teams involved in the 2021 SurfAid Cup came to an incredible total of $146,235. We would like to thank everyone involved in this year’s competition, and we would especially like to thank those who donated to our team and supported us on the day!

Alan Hall named AFR Top 100 Accounting Firm

AFR Top 100 Australian Accounting Firms 2021

Allan Hall stands tall as a Top 50 Australian accounting firms

The Australian Financial Review again recognised Allan Hall Business Advisors as one of Australia’s Top 100 accounting firms.

We are very pleased to announce that our firm stands strong with a Top 50 rank in this year’s Top 100 Accounting Firms table.

Executing and sustaining a growth strategy in a marketplace of tough nationwide competitors are among the great challenges, and successes, of many firms in the Australian accounting industry.

Events around the pandemic proved that going the extra mile is more important than ever to clients and the community as we continue to navigate the uncertainties of an unprecedented health crisis.

Australian Financial Review data shows, for another year, just how much the business community – especially smaller companies – rely on their accountants during tough times.

Allan Hall Director Scott Jago said 2020 was about steadying the ship and doing a good job with no one overboard.

“For us, it was about improving our delivery and refining our approach.”

“Success to Allan Hall means achieving our goals whilst having fun along the way,” says Scott. “Consciously doing things that make a difference to our clients and our staff’s experience, and joining the dots on all the little things each and every day.”

“We would like to congratulate our team on this achievement, which is a testament to the value they provide to our clients and our whole business,” he added.

The anticipation is rising as the Allan Hall Business Advisors surfing squad (alongside our good friends at the Big Hill Beach Cottages in Crescent Head), are preparing to hit the surf and participate in the annual SurfAid Cup surfing contest.

Our 2020 winning team of Rob Bain, Greg Anderson, Jake Somerville and Billy Bain will be surfing for us again this year with a goal of doing us proud and taking out the championship.

Taking place at Manly Beach on Friday 26 November 2021, the SurfAid Cup raises funds for SurfAid’s Mother and Child Health Programmes.

SurfAid is a non-profit humanitarian organisation that works alongside some of the world’s most isolated and vulnerable communities to bring about positive and sustainable health and well-being changes.

The organisation is dedicated to enriching lives, and increasing people’s choices and possibilities for realising their potential. If you would like to find out more about SurfAid and their work, please click here.

The organisation relies on donations to continue improving the health, wellbeing and resilience of remote communities throughout the world.

On 26 November, Allan Hall with Big Hill Beach Cottages will be competing and raising funds for SurfAid. When you support our fundraising you give people in remote communities connected to us through surfing a hand up, rather than a handout.

From all of us at Allan Hall Business Advisors, we thank you for your generous support. We understand that you would be asked to donate to a lot of fundraising drives and can’t give to all, so we truly appreciate any donation you can spare to this very worthy cause, because together we will make a difference!
